I heard back today from the Show I applied for, and they accepted 2 out of the 3 pieces I entered.  'Late for Market' below, and this small piece called 'Time Stamped ~ 1959'.   Where the title came from on this one is pretty obvious . . .  

The Show will be held at the Icicle Arts Gallery in Leavenworth, WA.  and will run from March 22nd thru May 10th.

Hand-Painted-cut Paper, Acrylics and Gold Leaf applied to canvas.  

I needed a piece (or pieces) for an upcoming Show I wanted to enter. All work has to revolve around 'Expressions of Time'.  I thought that 'late' was a value of someones time so this might fit.  Early, late, on-time is how most of us gauge our own, or anothers, responsibility in arriving to a specific event.  And, often how we are judged.  (i.e.) "She's always late!"  I guess we'll wait and see if the Judges agree!

I thought it would be fun to do another animal in the style that I have recently used for my Horse series.  This one was just as enjoyable to do!

(The title is a take off on the following quote attributed to Russell Crowe 

 "There's nothing like sitting back and talking to your cows."  :)
