IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR ...

'THE GATHERING'

16 x 20" Acrylic over an Acrylic Pour
for more information on this piece please click HERE

It's a special time, when we gather with friends and family.  Thankful for those very people we are blessed to have in our lives. People we can share our ups and downs with.  People we can share special times with.
People we can share Thanksgiving dinner with!  :)

Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received.
Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling.
Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse.

CLOUDS OF THE DAY . . .

This is what I woke up to this morning.  It's been mostly wet and dreary here for the last 2 weeks.  Today added insult to injury.  Snow is beautiful when the sun is out, but when it's just gray and foggy, not so much.

But ... this is where I'll be in about 2 weeks.  I am soooo ready!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

ADOPT THE PACE OF NATURE:

HER SECRET IS PATIENCE

'AND SHE WAITS WITH THE PATIENCE
THAT THE FLOWERS HAVE TAUGHT HER'

12 x 12"  Mixed Media Collage over an Acrylic Pour

For the longest time I looked at this background thinking it had to have an animal in there somewhere.  Birds ... maybe another Raven.  I put it away for several weeks and when I picked it up again, there she was.
Waiting.  Patiently.

CLOUDS OF THE DAY . . .

I recently flew back east.  At one point this was my view from the plane.  I wish the photo was a little clearer as the clouds were just beautiful and it's a little hard to get the full effect here.  Not just big white billowing clouds, but so much detail within each one.   Mesmerizing.

Have a great week!

A few weeks ago I mentioned, that when I retrieved my photos of our trip over to St. Ignatius Mission in Montana off my camera, I would post them.  I finally managed to get that done. I hope you enjoy the tour!

Remember, these were painted by the Cook!

They were working on renovations when we were there.

And no Catholic Church is complete without one of these . . . The Confessional!

CLOUDS OF THE DAY ...

There are clouds, but they are not the focus today.  This old windmill, and newly renovated barn, used to be part of an old farm.  This is right across the street from the grocery store where I do my shopping.  They are both now part of a new, upscale housing development.  Progress.  But, at least they did still keep them both.  A blending of the old and new.  And, with the fall colors in full bloom, I thought they were worth sharing.  A painting maybe?

Have a great day!

CLOUDS OF THE DAY ...

I'm not sure you could find any harmony here.  The clouds seem to be fighting themselves ... blue skies, gray clouds, sunshine, storm clouds.

I'm a believer in 'what you think and seek, you attract'.  I'm going for the blue skies and sunshine above.

Have a great day!

 CLOUDS OF THE DAY . . .

I took this over by Sprague Lake, WA.  Fortunately this was to the east of us and we didn't have to drive through it.  Oh, yes, and there's a nice big fish quietly swimming out of the storm on the right.  (I understand this is a good fishing lake:)

Have a great day!

We took a ride over to Montana (which sounds cool but it is actually only 6 miles from us :) this past Saturday.  We went a little more than the 6 miles ... we actually were headed to St. Ignatius, MT to visit the old Native American Mission there.  It was built in the 1800's and has since been beautifully restored.  Those photos are on my 'real' camera which I haven't downloaded yet, so I will share them on another day.  BUT ... while over in that area, we also visited the 'Garden of 1000 Buddhas' out in the middle of Nowhere, MT (really, it's Arlee, MT., but it feels like the middle of nowhere.  There are no signs to direct you there.  I found this online and we used our GPS to actually locate it.  Don't know if that is a 'neighbors don't want the traffic so you can't have signs' kinda thing, or, because it's all about Peace and Serenity, and the owners don't want signs. Whichever it is, it is not exactly the easiest place to find.  It is an extremely peaceful place to take a walk, and read the many writings of Buddha, and others who promote Peace, Tranquility, and Wisdom. Below are some photos I took that I thought you might enjoy ...

See.  I told you it was in the middle of Nowhere ...

Have a great Day ...
