PEACE BEGINS WITH A SMILE. (mother teresa)

Good Morning! Here's my smile for today ...

Just thought I'd share this mornings Sunrise from Ajo. Back into the studio today.

THERE'S ALWAYS A PEARSABILITY ...

... THAT I WILL GET BACK INTO MY STUDIO SOON AND GET SOME WORK DONE!  IN THE MEANTIME, I HAD THIS ACRYLIC POUR BACKGROUND I HAD DONE BEFORE WE LEFT IDAHO SO THIS WEEK THE KITCHEN TABLE (IN THE RV!) FUNCTIONED AS MY STUDIO.

'TO THE PEARS DELIGHT'

6 x 6" Acrylic

I love how the background gives the effect of butterflies dancing around the Pear.  A nice feeling of spontaneity.

You may not be able to see them both, but the Hummingbird feeders have been moved on to the tree.  :)

It looks like a disaster zone doesn't it.  We tore all the walls down to the studs and then reconfigured the inside to suit our needs ... which isn't much since we have a very nice RV.  But the RV is lacking one big essential ~ a Studio!  :)  Oh yes, and a laundry room, and an extra bathroom . Oh and maybe a small guest/living space.  :)   We only left 400 square feet so not a lot of room for expansion.  One third of what was the actual house was opened up and will now just be covered deck. (To watch all the beautiful Sunrises/Sunsets from!)

Foam boards are being put on over the old siding, and then covered with chicken wire.  This will be the base for the new siding ... Stucco. We are very anxious to see the finished product (maybe in a week) and so it seems are most of the people passing by the house.  We have had more "Can we come in and see what you've done" requests already than the whole 2 years it took us to build our last house.  I guess that's what happens when most of the people around are retirees and have lots of time on their hands.  I have to say, we've met a lot of very nice people since starting this project.  :)
(And given a lot of tours!)

We have the most beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets here in Ajo.  This was the Sunrise the other morning.  I always delight in them because in Idaho, living in the mountains, we rarely get to see the Sunrise like this.  By the time it peeks over the mountain tops it says "Hey, sorry, but I moved on."  :(
